Antigua Day 11

Antigua Day 11 - 11/08/09

Today we've started the day with a lazy breakfast of pancakes, cereal and writing the past few days worth of blog posts. Mackenzie has watched the Peter Pan film for the 600th time and the power on this part of the island has failed. We woke to the sound of what we thought was builders with a generator, it turned out to be our own back-up power generator at the end of the garden. Just as I've written that sentence the power has returned to full and the noisy generator has finally stopped! This should mean that the internet is now working and I can upload these blog posts.

We have a laid back, unstructured plan for the day today and intend to either walk up the adjacent hill to take in some views or drive to Jolly Harbour for a spot of shopping and exploring.

Later in the day we headed up the steep hill, sweating and panting until we reached the top. The views were evidently well worth it though.
